This is a Global Caravan event and you do need to have a good foundation knowledge of steps and formations to be able to attend….thankyou!
Tribal in the Tropics is a tribal bellydance gathering in Cairns, North Queensland. Bringing Global Caravan sisters together to share our love of dance, community and beauty.
To acknowledge and honour each other, ourselves, our teachers.
The workshops this year will be presented by:

TTT is held in Cairns and there is a fabulous range of accommodation, shopping, restaurants and cafes to enhance your stay.
Make the most of your “tropical dance holiday” and treat yourself to a few extras days to enjoy our warm hospitality and the world renowned natural, scenic wonders of North Queensland.
The workshops will be split into OPEN and ADVANCED, hoping this will allow newcomers to advanced to join us and still retain a high level of interest and energy!
And EVERYONE will be able to participate in our afternoon GATHERING CIRCLE.

Nina will present a discussion on beads, tribal jewellery origins and meaning. How to effectively layer your necklaces, cuffs etc.
SATURDAY-In the Boardroom
10am B will be offering an introduction to embroidery and folk stitching. She will have small bags to adorn which you can use as a zill or magic bag.

Master Class for advanced teachers/dancers[invitation only] this is a FORUM for our GC leaders, discussions on the direction of our dance in Australia and beyond, adv technique and formations.
The Intensives will be held in Innisfail, at my rainforest studio – The Temple.

Soiree and Workshops are to be held at the Cairns RSL, upstairs at the Catalina Room,115-119 Esplanade, Cairns City. The RSL is in the centre of Cairns and is 15 minutes from the airport. The venue has a strict dress code and footwear must be worn downstairs at all times……up stairs no problem!
Lunch can be found downstairs from the Catalina room, or at any of the local nearby cafes and restaurants.
There is great range of accommodation in Cairns, from budget to boutique…..
NO FOOD, or DRINKS other than water allowed at this event.
