Tribal in the Tropics is a tribal gathering, bringing women together to share our love of dance, community and beauty.

To acknowledge and honour each other, ourselves, our teachers.

The workshops this year will be presented by Master Teacher Nina Martinez-
Gypsy Caravan Tribal Bellydance technique and format.

Tribal in the Tropics is held in Cairns and there is a fabulous range of accommodation, shopping, restaurants and cafes to enhance your stay.

Soiree Friday 27th July…this is a night of fabulous performances from troupes, tribes and sister dancers from around Australia and beyond.
Our tropical soiree theme this year will be “Ulysses”, a wanderer, a speculator tropical blue butterfly that roams our gardens!

This will be held on the Friday evening 27th July with workshops to follow on the Saturday and Sunday 28-29 July.

Ulysses Soiree – Doors open 6pm, guests pay at the door $10. Bar open at 6pm.

Soiree and Workshops are to be held at the Cairns RSL, upstairs at the Catalina Room,115-119 Esplanade, Cairns City. The RSL is in the centre of Cairns and is 15 minutes from the airport. The venue has a strict dress code and footwear must be worn downstairs at all times……up stairs no problem!
Lunch can be found downstairs from the Catalina room, or at any of the local nearby cafes and restaurants.
There is great range of accommodation in Cairns, from budget to boutique…..
Our Facebook page will be up if you need any help with sharing. If you are coming in on the Friday make sure you get along to Rusty’s market in Grafton St for fresh fruit, local produce, coffee and a great massage!
