Tribal in the Tropics

Tribal in the Tropics aims at bringing women together to share our love of dance, community and beauty. To gather in one place, to acknowledge each other, to honour ourselves.

The workshops this year will be presented by Master Teacher Nina Martinez- Gypsy Caravan Tribal Bellydance technique and format.
Richelle Spencer- original Indian inspired “Tribalwood” moves.
Sienna Krzemien – the new GC upbeat Tribal Grooves!

Our tropical “Hibiscus Soiree” will be held on the Friday evening 30th June with workshops to follow on the Saturday and Sunday1-2 July.

Tribal in the Tropics is held in Cairns and there is a fabulous range of accommodation, shopping, restaurants and cafes to enhance your stay.

1:30-4:30 Indian Tribalwood with Richelle, GC Indian moves with Nina, Mudras and Goddess discussion

Sunday 2nd July
9:30-10:30 Tribal Grooves with Sienna
10:30-12:30 Circles and Serpentines: SlowTechnique with Nina
1:30-3:30 pm Dance, Art and Drum…..get creative- lets dance it, play drum, draw how you feel- invoke the goddess!

The Collective Soul Intensives and Teacher Training will be held in Innisfail, at my rainforest studio – The Temple!
An application and information pack will be sent to you as soon as we receive your registration form.

The Hibiscus Soiree on Friday 9th ….this is a night of fabulous performances from troupes, tribes and sister dancers from around Australia.
With special performce by Gypsy Caravan Dance Co International!
Soiree and Workshops are to be held at the Cairns RSL, upstairs at the Catalina Room,115-119 Esplanade, Cairns City. The RSL is in the centre of Cairns and is 15 minutes from the airport. The venue has a strict dress code and footwear must be worn downstairs at all times……up stairs no problem! Lunch can be found downstairs from the Catalina room, or at any of the local nearby cafes and restaurants.
There is great range of accommodation in Cairns, from budget to boutique….. Our Facebook page will be up if you need any help with sharing. If you are coming in on the Friday make sure you get along to Rusty’s market in Grafton St for fresh fruit, local produce, coffee and a great massage!
